100 years ago next Saturday, four Douglas World Cruisers took off from Lake Washington to embark on an epic adventure: the first ever flight around the world. Join us from 2pm-4pm at the Magnuson Park Cafe and Brewery on the shores of the historic 'runway' as we celebrate. The first round of 100 beers is on us.
There will be performances, historical banter, raffle prizes and more. Don't forget to wear your roaring 1920s accessories, those who do will be given an extra raffle ticket! We will also be launching our 175-Day Follow the Journey Instagram @firstworldflightcentennial which follows the Fliers each day with historic images, footage, artifacts, newspaper headlines and journal entries from April 6 - September 28.
